Pricing
Prices include accommodation, food, use of cooking and washing facilities, and all farm-based activities. There is a minimum stay of two nights, except for during the bank holiday weekend at the end of August when the minimum stay is three nights. Families will be offered their own sleeping accommodation, but smaller families are welcome to share with friends or extended members of their own families.
Adults & Children – Two Nights – £90/per person. Three Nights – £125/per person
Babies under 1 yr – £10 / night
Due to repeated problems with last minute cancellations, or people just not turning up, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure any booking and full payment must be made 30 days before the date of your arrival.
Community groups & private families
Degmo is a “not-for-profit” community company and for us to keep prices as low as possible we require a minimum of 60 people in each group. Depending on how many people can share a sleeping tent, this number may be increased to around 65. We have 11 sleeping tents available. However, we realise that it is often difficult for private families to organise this many people in one group. So, to satisfy the needs of families who cannot bring with them the minimum requirement of 60 people, we can usually manage to combine several different families into one group. Each family of up to 7 people will be provided with their own sleeping tent, but must share cooking, eating, and washing facilities with the other Somali families as well as the activities which Degmo offers. We hope that this arrangement will help more Somalis to visit Degmo whilst still allowing us to cover our operating costs.
